The Advocate - "Top honour for Burnie salesman"
Award winner proves that honesty is always the best policy
20-06-2012 BURNIE car salesman Scott Viney is on cloud nine having picked up awards including the top gong for National Sales Person of the Year.
The Motors Honda new vehicle sales consultant was also handed two state awards for top ten sales person and top five sales person at the Honda Council of Sales Professionals high-achievers dinner in Hobart last week.
The National Sales Person of the Year award is calculated on customer satisfaction, sales volume and training.
Honesty and transparency is what it takes to win the national award Mr Viney said.

Motors Holden Hobart secures Grand Masters Honour
13-4-2012 Motors Holden, Hobart has been awarded top honours for the second year in a row in Holden’s 2011 Grand Masters, an excellence program that recognises Australia’s best performing dealerships.
The annual Grand Masters is bestowed on just 32 dealerships each year, out of a total of 244 Holden dealerships Australia-wide.
Grand Masters acknowledges Holden’s most outstanding dealerships judging them on sales excellence, customer satisfaction, service delivery, parts performance and astute business management.
Holden’s Chairman and Managing Director, Mike Devereux, said these awards were a well deserved recognition for the outstanding achievements of these dealerships.
“Grand Masters is the ultimate dealer performance recognition program. The winners have consistently exceeded expectations, they go above and beyond in the name of sales excellence and customer satisfaction,” said Mr Devereux.
“This award is not handed out lightly; it is an indication of the dealer’s commitment to an exceptional quality experience for each and every customer, on every occasion. I’m incredibly proud of these guys.”

Motors Foundation Donates $40,000 to Camp Quality
18-03-2012 The Motors Foundation continues to support the great work of Camp Quality by donating $40,000
towards the Seniors Camp for 2012. Our CRM team of David Masterton and Kate Court attended the Camp for a day
at Port Sorell and had a great time with the teenagers. The Camp was full of adventure with rafting, caving,
surfing, jet ski rides and the Hurricane Amusement ride had everyone screaming (or was that just David?).
It sounds like they had an awesome time! 31 teenagers were able to attend and they were supported by 29
companions and 15 Support volunteers.

Motors Foundation Donates $3,200 to Thyme House in Launceston
Thyme House is a partnership between Anglicare and Community Housing where young homeless people
between the age of 16 to 25 years are provided with supported long term accommodation. Many young people are often
unable to find affordable accommodation and as a result have periods of homelessness resulting in them being absent
from schooling and training. Thyme House not only provides safe, affordable accommodation, but also provides access
to education, training and eventually employment. Our donation will make a big difference in the lives of a number
of these disadvantaged young people.

The Advocate - Front Page "I owe these people my life"
09-01-2012 JULIE KELLY was driving through South Burnie when her mum, Judy White,
stopped breathing in the passenger seat beside her. Ms Kelly leapt from the car and yelled for help from anybody
within hearing distance. Two staff in the adjacent Motors Burnie were about to become heroes. JUDY White will be forever
thankful for the heroic actions of two good samaritans who recently saved her life after she stopped breathing. "I owe
my life to these people, I just can’t thank them enough,’’ she said. The 64-year-old Burnie resident was revived by Motors
Burnie staff members Trudy Crocker and Max Young, who performed CPR on her and saved her life. Click here to view the full article.

The Motors Foundation present a $350,000 donation to The Salvation Army and The Tasmanian community.
The Motors Foundation is pleased to announce the donation of ,$350,000 (over 5 yrs) to the innovative
Doorways to Parenting program, created and run by The Salvation Army in Tasmania.
Doorways to Parenting is a response to the large numbers of families where child protection orders are made
on children, particularly when they have either been removed or are at risk of being removed from the family
unit. Studies have shown, and the Federal Government has stated, that 85% of cases where the child
protection authorities become involved with families, a strong influencing factor is Alcohol or other drugs.
“This exciting new Salvation Army program fits the vision of the Motors Foundation”, says Motors Foundation
Chairman Marcus Birrell. “We see this program as being a major support for families and the community in
general.”

Holden Grand Masters - Motors Holden has another "Grand Year"
08-08-2011 Motors Holden has been awarded Grand Masters again for 2010. Hobart, Launceston and Devonport dealerships have the honor of receiving the ultimate dealer performance recognition that measures sales excellence, customer service & other Holden quality measures across all areas of the dealership.
"To think this was a one off would be wrong," Craig Bligh Motors Hobart Dealer Principal said. "This is the second year mulitple Motors Dealerships have been awarded this honor. Last year also saw our Devonport Dealer Pricipal, Greg Plummer Awarded the 2009 Chairman's Award, that is only given to the top dealer in their class."

Motors donation to QLD flood victims
14-01-2011 Today Motors has announced they have donated $20,000 to people affected by the Queensland floods through the Motors Foundation.
Terry Bienefelt Chairman of the Motors Foundation and State Manager of Fixed operations for Motors commented:
"We set up the foundation in partnership with staff of Motors to raise funds to help less fortunate in Tasmanian partnership with other Tasmania Charities. After we all saw the devastation, we knew we had to do something, the board and I agreed to make an exception to our rules and donate outside Tasmania, It's the least we could do."
Motors Foundation was created last year to consolidate Motors fund raising for Tasmanians that are less fortunate. Last year the foundation donated over $100,000 to Tasmanian charities.
Motors has been part of the Tasmanian community since 1910 and last year celebrated 100 years of operation.
